We are honored to exhibit in our houses some paintings of the american artist Edward Hall who visited Mogan for the first time in 1975 and was fascinated by the place and its people.
I draw thematic inspiration from my changing environs. For the last 40 years, I have been creating a body of work that is also my life’s story; my subjects are the people, the landscapes, the foliage, the colors and qualities of light, and darkness that I have seen on Long Island, Manhattan, Europe, Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Canary Islands. I move from figurative to abstract representation and back again, executing pictures in a variety of media.
The pictures displayed in “ Finca El Moral” are a part of my “Islas Canarias” series produced during various trips in the 40 years of visiting Gran Canaria.
